The play is a dramatic thriller in which a journalist, obsessed with a convicted killer leaves her husband and takes a small apartment in Hackensack, New Jersey so that she can concentrate on her interviews with the convict at the Trenton State Prison. Her husband, extremely concerned with her obsession, tries throughout the play to convince her that the prisoner is dangerous and that she should stop the investigation. The woman is not prepared for the events that follow when the man is given parole and is released from prison.

LARRY CRANE is the playwright of the first offering of this 2007-2008 season. His play, Transit of Venus, will be presented on the 13th of October. The play was also a finalist for slection to the O’Neill Conference. Other plays by Mr. Crane are Breadalbane (Playwrights at McCarter Reading Series selection; Acorn Productions staged reading; 2006 Clauder Competition Winner for State of Maine), American House (Community Theatre Reading), A Green Baloon (Community Theatre Production), Alma (Community Theatre Production), Esops and Tender Offers, and Topsy. Larry has also written a novel, Quality Guy, and short stories, Fall Term at Bowling Green and Rudesheim and the Roosevelt.
